The work of this task force has led to ongoing and immediate policy modifications to protect residents and staff in these facilities from COVID-19 and ultimately to a marked decrease in COVID-19 incidence in Illinois congregate settings.
This group advises the Illinois Department of Public Health on strategies to control COVID-19 in congregate living settings such as long-term care facilities and homeless shelters.
