Illinois Budget Toolbox
The Illinois Budget Toolbox is a series of reports and other resources compiled by IGPA scholars in 2014 to aid in the conversation surrounding Illinois' complex fiscal situation. ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Illinois is in fiscal crisis, with no easy solutions. Many tools will be needed to fix the problem.
The Illinois Budget Policy Toolbox is a virtual resource center that assesses policy options that the state’s leaders can consider as they work to put Illinois on sound fiscal footing. Using the best academic scholarship, the University of Illinois’ leading policy experts and professors from the U of I and other universities, provide a nonpartisan overview of the state’s fiscal situation and evaluate the pros and cons of a variety of revenue and spending options.
