James Kuklinski’s primary interests include the nature and quality of citizen decision-making, the relationship between public opinion and legislative policymaking, and the use of experiments in social scientific research.
Kuklinski held a major assembly on electoral systems. Funded by the Joyce Foundation, the assembly deliberated a possible return to cumulative voting in Illinois house elections. Kuklinski has also appeared on national radio and television broadcasts to discuss race and affirmative action. He testified before Congress on the same topics.
