IGPA Partnering Scholar Don Fullerton awarded National Science Foundation grant to study regional circular economy

The National Science Foundation has announced the award of a new one-year research grant with University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Finance Professor Don Fullerton as co-principal investigator. This planning grant is entitled “Convergent Innovations in Regional CirCULAR Economies (CIRCULAR)”, and is joint with faculty from four different Illinois universities (University of Illinois Chicago, University of Illinois Springfield, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Illinois Institute of Technology).

The grant will allow the co-principal investigators to plan future research about innovation to design products for longer use and for recycling, in order to reduce waste in Illinois.
