Question Wording and Notes:

Good Chance Jobs (Gallup): "For the next few questions I'd like you to think about your own community. In general, do you think blacks have as good a chance as white people in your community to get any kind of job for which they are qualified, or don't you think they have as good a chance?" Sample sizes below 1,000 cases occurred in 1998 and 1999, when 942 and 934 white respondents, respectively, answered this question. Data were collected by telephone interview.
