Joan Sunseri
Joan Sunseri, IGPA’s director of development, works with the University of Illinois Foundation to identify and obtain additional financial support for IGPA.
Sunseri (pronounced Sun-SAYR-ee), a resident of Hinsdale, Ill., has worked as development director for several organizations, including the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, where she expanded and developed programs to increase donor support and involvement. At The Avery Coonley School in Downers Grove, Sunseri completed a capital campaign for additions and renovations to the school, directed events and coordinated school publications. She has also worked with the American College of Surgeons, the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago and The American Heart Association where she began the annual the Heart Ball, an event which continues to enjoy success.
Sunseri earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master of Science degree from George Williams College.
