Geoffrey Hewings is a professor in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Departments of Geography, Economics, and Urban and Regional Planning and is a member of the Institute of Government and Public Affairs.
Hewings heads the Regional Economics Applications Laboratory and is currently working on the development of the Illinois Economic Observatory, which will analyze the Illinois economy.Hewings received his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Birmingham, England. He then received his Master’s and Doctorate Degrees from the University of Washington, Seattle.
