The January 2009 Illinois Economic Review, which is produced by IGPA economist Geoffrey Hewings and the Regional Economic Applications Laboratory, shows Illinois lost 36,000 more jobs in December 2008. Illinois lost nearly 101,000 jobs in 2008 and is forecast to lose another 147,000 jobs in 2009, according to the analysis by REAL.
