About
IGPA invites you to our next faculty coffee chat on Tuesday, April 7, 2025 from 11 am – 12 noon CT, virtually, on Zoom.
Rachel Jackson-Gordon will explore connections between high-quality early childhood development opportunities and violence prevention, integrating research, policy, and practice perspectives. The presentation will highlight the potential of nature-, music-, and mindfulness-based interventions as low-cost, easily implementable strategies that support children’s stress coping, along with implications for Illinois policy and planning. This work is being sponsored through IGPA’s Research Scholar Initiatives program.
Rachel Jackson-Gordon is a postdoctoral research associate at the Family Resiliency Center in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at UIUC.
