W. Russell Arrington Lecture in State Politics set for April 4 in Chicago

IGPA professor Christopher Mooney will host the W. Russell Arrington Lecture in State Politics at the University of Illinois at Chicago on Wednesday, April 4. Guest lecturer will be Shanna Pearson-Merkowitz, a professor of political science at the University of Rhode Island. She will discuss interstate policy implications, focusing on how firearms are moved across state lines to avoid purchase restrictions. The lecture is titled "Porous Laboratories: Policy Spillover and the Interstate Dynamics of State Gun Control Policies." 

The lecture will be held in Room 1115 of the Behavioral Sciences Building, 1007 W. Harrison Street, on the UIC campus. It begins at 12 noon.

Mooney is the W. Russell Arrington Professor of State Politics at IGPA and professor of political science at UIC.
