IGPA Visiting Scholar Amanda Lewis and UIC colleagues release new report on race and inequality

IGPA Visiting Scholar Amanda Lewis and colleagues from the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy (IRRPP) have published a new report on the status of racial equality in Chicago. The report, titled "A Tale of Three Cities," found that racial and ethnic inequities "remain pervasive, persistent and consequential" in Chicago. The report dives deeply in to housing, economics, education, justice and health as it examines the differences among African-American, Latino and white populations in the city. Lewis, a visiting scholar on IGPA's Race and Inequality policy inititiative, is director of IRRPP, which is part of the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
