Tax policy expert Don Fullerton assesses tax dependence of U.S. households

IGPA economist and tax policy expert Don Fullerton has published a new analysis of the tax dependence of American households. The paper, co-authored with Nirupama Rao of the Wagner School of Public Policy at New York University, looks into whether there is validity in the view that U.S. fiscal policy has resulted in a class of citizens fully reliant upon government largesse and detached from the tax rolls. The research is published at voxeu.org, the policy portal of the Center for Economic and Policy Research. Read "Makers, takers, and the lifecycle of the 47%: An assessment of US households’ tax dependence."
