Our Working Group structure allows IGPA to respond to important policy questions as they unfold. As soon as Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed legislation creating the Property Tax Relief Task Force, IGPA was able to activate the Fiscal and Economic Policy Working Group to provide expertise. IGPA’s team was in regular communication with task force staff, and within weeks, Working Group members provided testimony and research to several task force subcommittees. IGPA created a webpage, so task force staff had a one-stop-shop for presentations and research from the Working Group.
